Kern Medical and the Refine Aesthetic Center are pleased to announce that Patrick G. Pieper, M.D. has joined us at our Bakersfield offices. Dr. Pieper brings a wealth of aesthetic surgery training and experience to our community. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate and Sternheim Scholar from the University of California, Berkeley who completed his undergraduate studies summa cum laude in Biological Science, Dr. Pieper went on to attend the University of Southern California School of Medicine, where he also graduated with Highest Honors and was selected to the Dean’s List all semesters. He remained at USC to complete a five year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (ENT), and was then selected by Frank M Kamer, M.D. as a Fellow in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills. After completing that program, Dr. Pieper was certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2002 to complement his Board Certification in Otolaryngology. He remained at Lasky Clinic practicing facial aesthetic surgery for more than ten years, specializing in cosmetic and functional nasal surgery (rhinoplasty) and procedures for the aging eyelids, face, and neck such as blepharoplasty, endoscopic brow lift, facelift, and neck lift. Dr. Pieper has been the author or co-author of a number of scholarly articles and textbook chapters on these subjects, and now serves as Medical Director for the Refine Aesthetic Center in Bakersfield under the auspices of Kern Medical. He is also available for consultation at his office on Stockdale Highway for both aesthetic concerns and general problems regarding the ears, nose, and throat.
